Job Description:
Job Title: Sales Executive – Retail
Location: Ahmedabad
Industry: Construction Chemicals (Tile Adhesives, Waterproofing, Grouts, Repair Mortars, Epoxy, Admixtures)
Reporting to – Area Sales Manager
Job Purpose
To drive retail sales growth of construction chemicals by expanding dealer network, increasing product visibility, generating demand from contractors/masons, and ensuring effective secondary sales in assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales & Market Development
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for assigned territory
- Appoint and develop new retailers and sub-dealers
- Increase secondary sales through effective retailer engagement
- Ensure healthy stock rotation and availability at retail counters
Dealer & Distributor Management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors and key retailers
- Ensure timely order collection, follow-ups, and payment coordination
- Monitor distributor stock levels and execute stock planning
- Resolve retailer and distributor issues promptly
Influencer Engagement
- Develop strong relationships with masons, contractors, and applicators
- Conduct product demonstrations, site trials, and mason meets
- Support retailers with site leads and conversions
Site Visits & Technical Support
- Visit active construction sites to generate demand
- Coordinate with technical team for product application support
- Handle basic product queries related to application and performance
Brand Visibility & Promotions
- Ensure proper brand visibility through shop boards, posters, and displays
- Execute promotional schemes, sampling, and local activations
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and schemes in the market
Reporting & Compliance
- Daily market visit reports and weekly sales updates
- Maintain customer database and sales records
- Adhere to company policies and reporting formats
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong local market knowledge of Ahmedabad retail construction market
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport with retailers and influencers
- Target-driven with strong follow-up discipline
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate / Diploma (preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in retail sales of construction chemicals / paints / building materials
- Experience in tile adhesive, waterproofing, or similar products preferred

- Number of active retailers and influencers added
