Job Description:
A Mechanical Maintenance Manager oversees all mechanical systems, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability while minimizing downtime. Key responsibilities include planning preventive/predictive maintenance, leading technical teams, managing budgets, and implementing safety regulations. 
Core Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules to maximize machine uptime and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance personnel (technicians/mechanics) to ensure high-quality repairs and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Technical Operations: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical machinery, tools, and plant equipment.
  • Inventory & Budget: Manage maintenance budgets, control repair costs, and maintain an inventory of critical spare parts.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA) and industry standards.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track repairs, and report on maintenance KPIs. 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, motors).
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex machinery issues and initiate solutions.
