Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control Operations

  • Overall responsibility for raw material, in-process, and finished product testing

  • Ensure timely analysis and release of materials and products

  • Review and approve COAs (Certificates of Analysis)

  • Ensure adherence to approved specifications and SOPs

Laboratory Management

  • Manage QC laboratory operations, manpower, and workflow

  • Ensure proper calibration, validation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments

  • Control and monitoring of chemicals, reagents, and reference standards

  • Maintain GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, customer audits, and regulatory requirements

  • Preparation, review, and implementation of SOPs, STPs, and protocols

  • Handling of deviations, OOS, OOT, CAPA

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of observations

Team Management

  • Lead, guide, and develop QC chemists and analysts

  • Conduct training on analytical methods, SOPs, and safety practices

  • Performance monitoring and skill development of team members

Coordination & Improvement

  • Coordinate with Production, QA, R&D, and Dispatch teams

  • Support method development, method validation, and troubleshooting

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency


Qualification & Experience

  • Education: M.Sc. Chemistry / B.Sc. Chemistry (M.Sc. preferred)

  • Experience: Minimum 8–12 years in Quality Control within chemical manufacturing

  • Prior experience in Agrochemical / Specialty / Industrial Chemical industry preferred


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (GC, HPLC, UV, Wet Analysis, etc.)

  • Hands-on experience with ISO systems and audits

  • Leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

  • Problem-solving and decision-making capability


Working Conditions
