Job Description:

To ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and safe operation of High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) / Gravity Die Casting (GDC) machines and auxiliary equipment through advanced preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, while optimizing spare parts inventory and reducing maintenance costs

Key Responsibilities
 
1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting (6-8 Years Expertise) 
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of HPDC machines (Buhler, ItalPresse, Toshiba, LK, Yizumi).
  • Expertise in hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting high-pressure pumps, proportional valves, servo valves, and cylinder repairs.
  • Repair mechanical systems: toggle mechanisms, tie-bar alignment, and die-locking systems.
  • Repair, maintain, and set up trimming presses, ladlers, sprayers, and extractor robots.
  • Ensure proper functioning of furnace, crucible, heating, and metal pouring systems. 
2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Implement predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  • Manage cooling system maintenance (heat exchangers, water towers) to prevent die soldering. 
3. Electrical & Automation Control
  • Troubleshoot PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley), relay logic, and electrical control panels.
  • Diagnose sensor issues, limit switches, and safety interlocks. 
4. Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain comprehensive machine history logs, breakdown reports, and spare parts inventory.
  • Adhere to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards for maintenance documentation.
  • Enforce LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) safety protocols. 
5. Team Leadership & Improvement
  • Lead a team of technicians for shift operations (if required).
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA/5 Why) for major breakdowns and implement CAPA.
  • Drive 5S, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and Kaizen initiatives. 
 Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of die casting processes (aluminum/zinc).
  • Drawings: Ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) for spare parts management.
  • Tools: Hands-on experience with tool room equipment (Lathe, Drilling, Grinding).
