Job Description:

Position:      Safety Officer

Location:     Umbergaon

Experience:   4 - 5  Years

Industries:     Medical Devices & Equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Governance & Compliance
  • Enforce Director-approved safety policies, procedures, and site rules without exception.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with statutory regulations, client safety standards, and company HSE policies.
  • Act as the Directors on-site representative for safety enforcement.
  • Site Safety Implementation
  • Monitor all civil activities including excavation, formwork, scaffolding, concreting, lifting operations, and work at height.
  • Ensure risk assessments, method statements, and permits are implemented before work starts.
  • Stop any unsafe work immediately and escalate serious issues to the Director / Project Head.
  • Proactive Risk Management
  • Identify potential hazards in advance and ensure corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and weekly safety audits.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe access at all work fronts.
  • Workforce Safety & Discipline
  • Ensure mandatory use of PPE by all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions as per Director’sguidelines.
  • Enforce site discipline related to safety behavior and work practices.
  • Incident Control & Reporting
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions thoroughly.
  • Prepare clear, factual, and timely reports for management and Director review.
  • Ensure implementation of corrective actions with measurable closure..
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, and Supervisors to integrate safety into daily operations.
  • Communicate safety performance, concerns, and improvements during review meetings.
  • Support the Director during safety audits, client inspections, and statutory visits.
  • Records & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate safety records including inspections, permits, training logs, incident reports, and compliance documents.
  • Ensure documentation meets internal audits and Director-level reviews.

Required Qualification: - Any Graduation /Diploma Safety

Salary :- Upto 6.00 LPA
