Job Purpose

To ensure that the product is manufactured and delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specifications and in a cost effective manner and to oversee maintenance function and guide maintenance department in bringing down breakdown time through proper preventive maintenance and spares control, energy consumption.

Key Interfaces:

Vendors, Procurement, Design & Development team, Process & Project Engineering, 

Direct Reports: Manufacturing, Assembly, Mould & machine Maintenance, Technology Development & Safety

 KPIs

• Meet Performance Review objectives.
• Deliver Plant & Equipment, in-budget and to-specification.
• Create & deliver Manufacturing plan to Budget.
• Support maintenance & development of Quality Management System.

Key Tasks

• Manage the manufacturing & facilities team including managing, mentoring and developing staff.
• Contribute & implement to the rolling strategic plan for Operations.
• HSE responsibility.
• Set and manage performance targets for direct reports.
• Interface with Design, Project Engineering, Quality, Sales & Finance functions within.
• Contribute to the development of the businesses to deliver stable products & processes.
• Work alongside other peers to deliver world class reliability.
• To continuously work towards minimizing machine breakdown. Analysing breakdown trend & taking necessary corrective & preventive action
• To prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedule of all major equipments in consultation with production department
• To maximize manpower utilization and minimize overtime work Spare parts identification, timely indent and stock control.
• To find / develop suitable vendor for critical / imported parts and Make substitution of imported items with suitable indigenous parts.
• To maintain 24 hrs water supply for equipments and human usage execute periodic cleaning of drinking water storage.
• To ensure safety and pollution requirements of different machines or equipments
• To maintain all necessary records as per quality system procedure.
• To control power consumption , point out wastage
• To approve safety norms related to department

Key Skills

• Experience of working with Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding & Injection Blow moulding industry would be preferable.
• Strong problem solving skills (containment & counter-measure).
• Strong experience of supply chain management (including expediting, lead-time reduction, inventory management)
• Manufacturing Engineering (including plant layout, waste elimination and continuous improvement).
• Communication, influencing, negotiating and assertiveness.
• Broad engineering technical skills and knowledge of implementation across a wide range of industries.
• Decision making, sound business judgement.
• Demonstrate Lean Manufacturing experience in a low volume environment.
• Quality management / delivering Customer requirements.
• Project management.
• Change Management.
• People management.
• PC literate with Words, Excel & PowerPoint skills.

Essential Qualifications: Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering with about 12-15 years of experience

Salary Range: 12 Lakhs

Age Profile: 35 to 40 years

Other Duties: Specialist projects as agreed to support the business requirements of the organisation. In addition, you will be prepared to carry out any other reasonable duties requested.
