Nutri Nuts is a state-of-the-art integrated food and beverage manufacturing facility located near Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The plant is designed for co-packing of juices in PET and other advanced packaging formats, equipped with modern processing and filling technologies.

Role Objective

The Plant Head / Works Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the beverage processing facility. This leadership role involves overseeing production, engineering, quality, utilities, safety, and commercial coordination to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective manufacturing across advanced PET and Tetra Pak filling lines.


Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations & Production

  • Oversee and manage daily plant operations across:

    • Beverage processing lines (Juice, Milk, ORS)

    • Tetra Pak filling and packing lines

    • 38mm PET Hot Fill line (Sidel / Hildon or equivalent)

  • Drive production efficiency, line uptime, yield improvement, and cost optimization.

  • Ensure production targets are met as per customer commitments and business plans.

2. Utilities, Equipment & Maintenance

  • Ensure reliable operation of all utilities including boilers, compressors, cold rooms, and supporting infrastructure.

  • Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.

  • Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for AMCs, troubleshooting, spares, and technical upgrades.

  • Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and performance validation for new lines or expansions.

3. Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, GMP, and other statutory requirements.

  • Oversee operations of the on-site food testing laboratory for product quality, safety, and batch release.

  • Lead internal and external audits related to quality, food safety, and hygiene.

  • Implement and monitor safety standards, hygiene practices, and statutory compliance across the plant.

4. Team & Performance Management

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams including Production, QA/QC, Engineering, Utilities, Stores, Dispatch, and Logistics.

  • Define, track, and improve plant KPIs such as uptime, yield, quality, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.

  • Drive SOP adherence, lean manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Train, mentor, and develop plant personnel to build a strong operational leadership pipeline.

5. Strategic & Commercial Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and commercial teams for production planning and customer delivery schedules.

  • Support capacity expansion, new product introductions, and capex planning.

  • Manage plant budgets, costing, inventory control, and vendor performance.

  • Support customer audits, technical discussions, and operational scale-up initiatives.


Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, or Chemical Engineering.

  • 10–15 years of experience in Food, Beverage, or Dairy manufacturing, with significant leadership exposure in plant operations.

  • Strong hands-on experience with modern processing and filling technologies such as Tetra Pak, PET lines, Hot Fill, and CSD systems.

  • Practical knowledge of utilities including boilers, compressors, cold rooms, and automation systems.

  • Exposure to nutrient formulation and fortified food/beverage manufacturing will be an added advantage.

  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and industrial automation/controls.
