We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to oversee the
procurement process of raw materials, components, and finished products for our uPVC
window manufacturing business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the
uPVC window industry, including understanding of the materials (uPVC, glass, hardware,
aluminium profiles, reinforcement and plastic components), market trends, and supplier
management. This role involves strategic sourcing, negotiation, and ensuring a continuous,
cost-effective supply of materials to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Hardware Procurement & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish
relationships with suppliers and vendors of GI reinforcement, hardware, glass,
aluminium, plastic components, fasteners and other necessary materials for window
production.
• Material Procurement: Ensure the timely procurement of raw materials (Titanium
Dioxide, Impact Modifier, Processing Aid, Pigment, Calcium carbonate, Stabilizer
etc.,) ensuring high-quality standards, cost efficiency, and adherence to deadlines for
manufacturing schedules.
• Cost Management: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to obtain the
best deals. Work within budget constraints and explore ways to reduce costs without
compromising on quality.
• Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure there is no
production delay due to a shortage of materials. Monitor and manage stock levels of
raw materials and finished goods to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all
procured materials meet the required industry standards for uPVC windows and
comply with relevant certifications.
• Market Research: Continuously research and analyse market trends to identify
potential suppliers, new materials, and competitive pricing strategies to improve
procurement efficiency.
• Supplier Evaluation: Regularly assess supplier performance based on quality,
delivery timelines, cost-effectiveness, and service. Address any issues related to poor
performance or non-compliance with agreed terms.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery
of materials to the production site. Work on optimizing lead times and transport costs
especially in Kanpur location.
• Reporting: Prepare procurement reports, maintain procurement records, and provide
updates on market conditions, price fluctuations, and supplier performance.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to
understand material requirements and delivery timelines. Assist the sales and
operations teams with material specifications and availability.
• Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with
environmental and regulatory standards. Promote the use of sustainable, eco-friendly
materials where possible.

• In-depth knowledge of uPVC window materials and hardware components and must
be aware of exact prices of every component from different vendors.
• Analytical skills to assess cost-effectiveness and supplier performance based on
previous experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, SAP and procurement software
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent team coordination and interpersonal skills
