Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced QC In-Charge cum Technical Trainer responsible for overseeing quality control operations in steel tube manufacturing and conducting technical training programs for shop floor employees to ensure compliance with quality standards and production efficiency.

 

Responsibilities include defining and implementing SOPs from raw material receipt to dispatch; ensuring conformance to specifications and internal standards; conducting in-process and final audits; leading root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions; and driving reduction in rejection and rework. As Trainer, the role will deliver modules on slitting, tube forming, TIG welding, polishing and material handling; certify operators; reduce downtime due to operator error; and create visual work instructions. Candidates must be graduates with good academic performance, formal QC certification and strong intelligence level with pleasing personality.


Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage quality control activities in steel tube production.

  • Ensure products meet national and international standards (IS, ASTM, API, etc.).

  • Conduct inspection of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.

  • Monitor dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties, and surface quality.

  • Handle testing procedures such as hydro testing, NDT, tensile testing, flattening, etc.

  • Maintain quality documentation, reports, and compliance records.

  • Identify quality issues and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for quality improvements.

  • Handle customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis.

Technical Training Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct technical training programs for operators and supervisors.

  • Train staff on quality standards, SOPs, safety, and testing procedures.

  • Improve workforce technical skills related to steel tube manufacturing.

  • Develop training materials, manuals, and evaluation systems.

  • Monitor training effectiveness and suggest skill improvement plans.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of steel tube manufacturing process (ERW/Seamless).

  • Hands-on experience in testing equipment and quality tools.

  • Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.

  • Strong leadership and training skills.

  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
