Job Description:

Position:         GM – Production

Location:       Manesar - Gurugram.

Experience:   18 - 25  Years

Industries:     Packaging

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead and manage end-to-end production operations across all manufacturing units.
  • Develop and execute production strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure minimum 90%+ OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery performance.
  • Drive capacity planning and long-term production capability enhancement.
  • Production Planning & Control
  • Oversee Production Planning & Control (PPC) to ensure optimal scheduling and resource utilization.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between NPD, Planning, Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
  • Monitor daily production output and take corrective actions where required.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to customer quality requirements and internal SOPs.
  • Work closely with QA & QC to maintain high product quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Cost & Productivity Management
  • Drive cost control initiatives including:
  • Labour cost optimization
  • Overtime control
  • Productivity improvement
  • Waste reduction
  • Machine utilization and loading efficiency
  • Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Lead automation and machinery upgrade initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Projects
  • Identify and implement long-term productivity and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Lead capital expenditure planning for new equipment and plant expansion.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement initiatives.
  • People Leadership & Development
  • Build and lead a high-performance production team.
  • Implement structured performance management systems.
  • Develop a leadership pipeline through coaching and mentoring.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Governance
  • Provide regular MIS and performance reports to top management.
  • Analyze production metrics and drive corrective action plans.
  • Ensure risk mitigation and proactive problem-solving across operations

Required Skills : 

  • Overall production performance including OTIF, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Quality compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Safety standards and regulatory compliance in production areas.
  • Profitability contribution through operational excellence.
