HELPER MECHANICAL FOR COAL WASHERY - SUNDARGARH , ODISHA

Job Description:

• Assist Mechanics: Work alongside experienced mechanics to repair and maintain a variety of machinery, including conveyors, crushers, pumps, screens, and dewatering belt presses.
• Tool and Material Handling: Transport tools, equipment, and parts to and from storage and work areas, ensuring mechanics have the necessary items readily available.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks under supervision, such as lubricating parts, greasing machines, and changing oil/filters.
• Cleaning and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area and workshop, which often involves sweeping, mopping, and cleaning equipment with solvents or other methods.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment and participating in safety checks.
• Documentation Support: Help in documenting maintenance activities and repairs, ensuring accurate records are kept.
• Emergency Response Support: Assist mechanics during emergency situations related to equipment failure, helping to minimize downtime. 

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required.
• Mechanical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and the use of hand and power tools is necessary.
• Physical Stamina: The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks in various work environments.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
• Work Environment: The helper should be prepared to work in a plant environment which may involve shifts and working with hazardous materials or in confined spaces.
