Responsibilities:

• Central Quality Governance (Multi-Plant)
• Act as single point ownership for Quality across all plants.
• Define and deploy common quality policies, procedures, standards, and formats across locations.
• Ensure uniform interpretation and implementation of IATF 16949 requirements at all plants.
• Drive group-level quality objectives and KPIs. 
• IATF 16949 & QMS Leadership
• Own IATF 16949 certification, surveillance, and re-certification for all plants.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSR) across OEMs and Tier-1 customers.
• Lead management review meetings (MRM) at group level.
• Ensure risk-based thinking and process approach are embedded across plants. 
• Customer Quality & Interface (Centralized)
• Act as central quality interface for key customers (Domestic & Export).
• Lead resolution of major customer complaints, escalations, and chronic issues.
• Approve and monitor 8D, warranty analysis, and field failure actions.
• Drive customer satisfaction improvement programs. 
• APQP, PPAP & New Product Quality
• Govern APQP and PPAP execution across plants.
• Ensure standardization of APQP deliverables (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC).
• Approve PPAP submissions and deviations before customer submission.
• Ensure effective handover from NPD to mass production. 
• Risk Management & Process Control
• Ensure robust PFMEA and Control Plans are implemented and periodically reviewed.
• Drive process capability (Cp/Cpk) improvement across critical processes.
• Ensure change management (ECN / PCN) is followed uniformly across plants.
• Prevent recurrence of defects through systemic corrective actions. 
• Audit Management (Internal, Customer & Certification)
• Define and deploy group-level internal audit programs.
• Lead and support customer audits, certification audits, and special audits.
• Ensure timely and effective closure of audit non-conformities. Monitor audit performance trends across plants. 
• Supplier Quality Management (Central)
• Define supplier quality standards and evaluation criteria.
• Oversee supplier audits, development, and performance monitoring.
• Drive incoming quality consistency across plants.
• Lead resolution of supplier-related quality issues. 
• Data, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
• Define standard quality KPIs and dashboards for all plants.
• Analyze trends for PPM, customer complaints, audit NCs, COPQ.
• Drive continuous improvement, defect reduction, and cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction.
• Promote Zero Defect / First Time Right culture. 
• People Leadership & Capability Development
• Lead and mentor Plant Quality Heads and Quality Teams.
• Define competency framework, training plans, and succession planning.
• Ensure quality awareness and audit readiness at all organizational levels. 
• Authority & Accountability
• Final authority for quality systems, customer quality decisions, and PPAP approvals.
• Authority to stop shipment / production for quality concerns
• Approval authority for quality-related deviations and concessions
• Recommendation authority for quality capex and resources

Required Qualification:  B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical
