Job Description:

Position:       Manager- NPD Process

Location:        Zaroli Nearby Bhilad

Experience:    8 - 12 Years

Industries:      Automobile

Responsibilities:

  • NPD Process Development

  • Develop plating and painting process flow as per customer drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct process feasibility studies for new RFQs.
  • Define process parameters, cycle times, chemical selection, and line balancing.
  • Plan and execute process trials, pilot runs, and validation trials. 
  • APQP & PPAP Execution
  • Prepare and execute APQP deliverables relevant to process development.
  • Create and update PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram, Work Instructions.
  • Lead PPAP preparation and submissions for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with Quality for MSA, SPC, capability studies (Cp/Cpk). 
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with Quality, Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, Purchase and PPC during development.
  • Ensure tooling, fixtures, racks, jigs and gauges are developed and validated on time.
  • Support production teams during trial to SOP transition. 
  • Customer & Audit Support
  • Participate in customer technical discussions, trials, and line buy-offs.
  • Address customer queries related to process capability and validation.
  • Support customer audits, internal audits, and certification audits (IATF). 
  • Process Standardization & Improvement
  • Implement standard process parameters and best practices as defined by Central NPD.
  • Drive process optimization for yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and rejection control.
  • Support VA/VE and cost reduction activities during and post development. 
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain complete NPD documentation as per IATF 16949.
  • Ensure traceability of changes through ECN / PCN process.
  • Follow export compliance requirements where applicable (REACH / ROHS). 
  • Team & Knowledge Management
  • Guide and mentor Process Engineers / NPD Engineers.
  • Train shopfloor teams on new process parameters and controls.
  • Ensure process knowledge transfer post SOP. 

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Automotive Plating & Painting processes
  • Hands-on APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan
  • Process validation & capability analysis
  • Problem-solving (8D, RCA)
  • Inter-department coordination
  • Customer-facing technical communication

Required Qualification: Diploma/ B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical/Chemical

Salary :- Upto 12.00 LPA
