Job Description:
A Quality Control (QC) Head combined with a Management Representative (MR) role is a senior position responsible for directing the quality department while maintaining the organization's Quality Management System (QMS/ISO). Key duties include ensuring product compliance with standards, managing QC teams, conducting audits, handling Non-Conformity (NC) reports, and driving continuous improvement (RCA/CAPA).
Core Responsibilities
- QMS & MR Duties: Act as the main contact for ISO audits, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- QC Leadership: Oversee daily lab operations, inspection processes, and approve/reject raw materials and finished goods.
- Compliance & Audit: Lead internal and external audits, manage 8D reports, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on product defects.
- Process Improvement: Develop quality procedures (SOPs), monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions.
- Team Management: Train, mentor, and supervise QC inspectors and laboratory staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Automobile), or relevant field.
- Experience: 8-15+ years in Quality Control
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of quality tools (5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto), GD&T, and measurement instruments.
- Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ISO standards, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
