Job Description:

Project Manager – Pharma Projects
An Electrical or Mechanical Project Manager in the pharmaceutical industry manages the
planning, design, and implementation of formulation projects (OSD/Injectable) for new
manufacturing facilities, upgrades, or existing plants, ensuring compliance with strict
industry standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include design, contractor
supervision, cost management, and troubleshooting to support production processes, with
significant overlap with automation and controls. The role requires technical expertise in
MEP / HVAC / Clean Room / Electrical systems, alongside strong coordination and project
management skills to ensure successful, compliant project delivery.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 Design and Development:
Create and oversee the design of HVAC/MEP/Process/Electrical and automation systems for
manufacturing processes, ensuring they align with project objectives and regulatory
requirements. 
 
 Project Management:
Manage projects from concept to completion, monitoring budgets, schedules, and resource
allocation. 
 
 System Implementation:
Supervise the construction and installation of electrical and control systems. 
 
 Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all systems and designs meet stringent pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g.,
GMP, safety regulations). 
 
 Coordination:
Liaise with various stakeholders, including project engineers, construction teams, vendors,
and other engineering disciplines (HVAC, mechanical, process). 
 

 Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Address and resolve issues in projects for smooth planning and execution. 
 
 Commissioning and Validation:
Oversee the commissioning and validation of all systems to ensure they function as
intended and are compliant. 
 
Essential Skills and Expertise
 Electrical Design:
Proficiency in designing HVAC / MEP /Electrical systems, including Process and Automation.
 
 Industry Standards:
Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements, GMP, and cleanroom
specifications. 
 
 Project Management Tools:
Familiarity with software like AutoCAD and project management. 
 
 Coordination and Communication:
Strong skills in communicating with diverse teams and managing external contractors.
