Job Description: Engineering Designer (Machine Tool Industry)
As an Engineering Designer in the machine tool sector, you will be the bridge between conceptual ideas and high-precision physical machinery. This role requires a blend of mechanical ingenuity, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and mastery of 3D modeling environments.

Position Overview
 * Role: Engineering Designer
 * Industry: Machine Tool Manufacturing (CNC, Milling, Turning, Grinding)
 * Core Objective: To design, develop, and optimize high-precision machine tools and automated systems that meet strict performance, safety, and durability standards.

Key Responsibilities
 * Mechanical Design & Modeling: Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings for machine components, sub-assemblies, and full-scale machine tools (e.g., spindles, tool changers, work-holding fixtures).
 * Technical Calculations: Perform engineering calculations related to stress, strain, gear ratios, and thermal expansion to ensure machine reliability.
 * Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Optimize designs to reduce production costs and assembly time while maintaining high precision.
 * Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers for control system integration and with the shop floor to troubleshoot assembly issues.
 * Material Selection: Specify appropriate materials (e.g., cast iron, tool steel, composites) based on vibration-dampening needs and wear resistance.
 * Documentation: Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
