HELPER MECHANICAL FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - GUJARAT

Job Description:

• Preventive/Breakdown Maintenance: Assisting in lubricating parts, replacing bearings, repairing hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and diagnosing mechanical failures.
• Tool and Material Handling: Preparing, cleaning, and transporting tools and equipment to and from work areas.
• Machine Operation Support: Assisting with machine setup, monitoring equipment, and performing minor repairs.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Following LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, wearing PPE, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Production Assistance: Loading/unloading raw materials or finished products and supporting the production team as needed.
• Fabrication Assistance: Assisting welders and fitters with grinding, cutting, and metal preparation. 
   

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (ITI in Mechanical/Fitter trade is often preferred).
• Experience: 1–3 years in heavy industry, manufacturing, or steel plant environments.
• Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical systems, ability to use hand/power tools, and familiarity with safety protocols.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in hot, noisy conditions, and stand for long periods. 
   

• Full-time, often requiring shift work.
• Heavy industrial environment (Sponge Iron Division, Rolling Mills, or Casting areas).
• Physically demanding, including working at heights or in confined spaces.
