Job Description:

Position: Fixed Asset Register Executive

Department: Finance / Accounts

Role Purpose

To maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) accurately, ensuring proper recording, tracking, capitalization, transfer, and disposal of company assets in compliance with accounting policies and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) with complete asset details.
• Record asset additions, capitalization, transfers, and disposals in ERP/accounting system.
• Asset tagging and physical verification across plant/office locations.
• Reconcile FAR with General Ledger (GL) periodically.
• Track CWIP (Capital Work in Progress) and ensure timely capitalization.
• Maintain supporting documents such as invoices, capitalization sheets, and approvals.
• Coordinate with stores, engineering, and projects team for asset movement and installation status.
• Prepare depreciation schedules as per company policy and statutory requirements.
• Support internal and statutory audits related to fixed assets.
• Identify missing, idle, or obsolete assets and report to management.

Key Deliverables

• Accurate and updated Fixed Asset Register
• Monthly FAR vs GL reconciliation
• Asset verification reports

Qualifications

• Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting / FAR management
• Manufacturing / Steel industry experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

MIS reporting in Excel related to Fixed Assets and FAR.

On-site asset tagging across plant/office locations.

Segregation and classification of assets by category/location
