Plant Operations

Ensure smooth and continuous operation of WTP units including intake systems, clarification, filtration, and disinfection.

Monitor plant performance parameters (flow, turbidity, pH, residual chlorine, etc.).

Ensure treated water quality meets statutory and client specifications.

Optimize chemical dosing and power consumption.
2. Maintenance Management
-
Plan and implement preventive & predictive maintenance schedules.
-
Oversee mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities.
-
Ensure timely breakdown resolution to minimize downtime.
-
Maintain critical spares inventory and AMC coordination.
3. Team Leadership
-
Supervise shift engineers, operators, technicians, and support staff.
-
Prepare duty rosters and ensure manpower availability.
-
Conduct training for operational safety and efficiency.
-
Maintain discipline and safety culture at plant site.
4. Quality & Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board norms and statutory regulations.

Maintain plant documentation, logbooks, and reporting systems.
-
Coordinate audits and inspections.
-
Implement ISO, safety, and environmental standards (if applicable).
5. Reporting & Coordination
-
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports to management.

Coordinate with client representatives and local authorities.

Monitor plant KPIs and implement improvement initiatives.
-
Support project head in budgeting and cost control.
6. Safety & Risk Management
-
Enforce safety procedures and PPE usage.

Conduct safety drills and toolbox talks.
-
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
Required Qualifications
-
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Environmental Engineering
-
Minimum 8–15 years of experience in WTP/STP/ETP operations
-
Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership/plant head role
-
Strong knowledge of pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, chemical dosing systems, PLC/SCADA systems
