IT System Administrator

Job Description:

An IT System Administrator (SysAdmin) is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of an organization's computer systems, servers, and data security. They act as the "silent guardians" of IT infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and high system performance

Core Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and system softwares. 
• Manage servers, storage systems, and user accounts. 
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability. 
• Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations. 
• Perform routine system backups and verify data integrity. 
• Implement and manage access controls, authentication, and authorization policies. 
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT security policies and data protection standards. 
• Manage antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions. 
• Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks. 
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues. 
• Provide technical support to users for system-related issues. 
• Manage user provisioning, password resets, and permissions. 
• Support enterprise applications and integrations (e.g., SAP, email servers, file sharing). 
• Good knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems. 
• Coordinate and work with vendors for procurement of IT systems and components.
