BIM Modeler – Revit MEP / HVAC

Job Description:

The BIM Modeler – Revit (MEP) will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate BIM models, preparing shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built models for MEP systems, with a primary focus on HVAC services. The role involves working closely with design engineers, project managers, site engineers, and other discipline BIM modelers/draftsmen to ensure models and drawings are execution-ready and aligned with project specifications, BIM standards, and coordination requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models using Revit MEP for HVAC and other MEP services.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and coordination drawings based on project requirements.
• Perform clash detection and coordination with other services such as Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting.
• Support the design team with model updates, revisions, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure BIM models follow project standards, LOD requirements, and company BIM protocols.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project teams, and consultants to resolve modelling conflicts.
• Extract BOQs, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of BIM models.

 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• 3–8 years of experience in BIM modelling for MEP services.
• Strong hands-on experience in Revit MEP modelling for HVAC systems.
• Good understanding of HVAC layouts, ducting systems, chilled water piping, and equipment placement.
• Experience in preparing shop drawings and coordination drawings.
• Familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP coordination and construction drawings.
• Ability to work closely with engineering and project teams. Preferred Experience
• Experience working on industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, or large commercial projects.
• Exposure to BIM coordination meetings and multi-disciplinary project environments
