Procurement Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with 8+ years of experience in highway/road construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities including sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and timely availability of materials and services required for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracting services required for highway projects.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for construction materials such as aggregates, bitumen, cement, steel, etc.

• Prepare and float RFQs/RFPs, evaluate quotations, and finalize vendors through commercial and technical negotiations.

• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to project sites to avoid delays in project execution.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and planning teams to understand procurement requirements.

• Monitor and control procurement budgets and cost optimization.

• Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements with vendors.

• Track market trends and pricing of key construction materials.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project requirements.

• Maintain proper documentation and procurement records.

• Handle logistics coordination for materials delivery to project sites.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction procurement processes.

• Experience in procurement of highway construction materials and equipment.

• Vendor development and supplier relationship management.

• Contract negotiation and commercial evaluation.

• Knowledge of ERP systems / procurement software.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Mechanical Engineering / MBA (Operations or Supply Chain preferred).
