Role Overview
The Accounts & Finance Head will lead the finance function of the manufacturing company, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic support to business operations. This role demands strong expertise in accounting, taxation, cost control, and financial planning, with the ability to partner with leadership for growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and board presentations.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards (Ind-AS/IFRS).
- Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Monitor plant costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across production and supply chain.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure statutory compliance (Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, FEMA, etc.).
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and banks for smooth operations.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage working capital, cash flow, and banking relationships.
- Oversee fund-raising, credit facilities, and investment decisions.
- Risk Management & Controls
- Establish internal controls, risk management frameworks, and SOPs.
- Safeguard company assets and ensure financial discipline.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring skill development and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for business decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 8 years PQE.
- Strong background in manufacturing finance, costing, and compliance.
- Expertise in ERP/finance systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
