Senior Database Developer (Azure SQL / MSSQL)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Database Developer to own database design, performance optimization, and data migration for large-scale systems built on C#, Azure, and Microsoft SQL Server. This role requires deep expertise in stored procedures, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and enhance complex stored procedures with business logic
- Design and optimize tables, indexes, and database schemas
- Identify and resolve SQL performance issues using execution plans, Query Store, and SQL Profiler
- Optimize queries for large data volumes
- Support data migration from multiple source systems
- Work with Azure Data Factory for ETL pipelines
- Collaborate with backend teams to ensure efficient database usage
Required Skills
- 6+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong expertise in query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
- Experience with large databases and data migration
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory
- Deep understanding of SQL performance, locking, and transactions
- Ability to translate business logic into efficient database design
Nice to Have
Experience with high-scale or performance-critical systems
Familiarity with .NET / C# applications
Experience refactoring legacy databases
