Job Description:
A Trainee Process DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) in a steel plant assists in monitoring kiln operations, analyzing raw materials, and ensuring quality production under supervision. Key duties include monitoring DRI parameters, conducting, supporting maintenance, maintaining safety standards, and preparing, and optimizing, reporting raw material flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Assistance: Support the monitoring and operation of the DRI kiln and associated machinery.
- Quality Control: Assist in analyzing raw materials (iron ore, coal) and intermediate/finished products to meet specifications.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to plant safety rules and report hazardous conditions.
- Maintenance Support: Aid in the upkeep of process equipment and machinery.
- Reporting: Assist in keeping accurate, and preparing, records of production data and shift reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of the sponge iron production process, good communication, ability to work in shifts, and eagerness to learn.
- Experience: Fresher or 1-2 years experience in a steel/sponge iron plant.
