Job Description:
A DCS Engineer for Boiler/Turbine Operations in a steel manufacturing company operates and optimizes power plant equipment (e.g.,
boilers, steam turbines) via a Distributed Control System. They ensure safe, efficient generation of power by managing parameters like pressure, temperature, fuel, and air ratios, and executing startup/shutdown procedures in compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- DCS Control Room Operation: Monitor and control boiler, turbine, and balance-of-plant (BOP) systems through the DCS interface to maximize operational efficiency, as described in this Vinayak Outsourcing Works Pvt Ltd job listing.
- Startup/Shutdown Procedures: Execute startup and shutdown sequences for turbines, boilers, and auxiliary systems.

Key Competencies
- System Knowledge: Deep understanding of
boilers, turbine operations, and PLC/SCADA systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in DCS interface, troubleshooting, and understanding process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow sensors).
- Experience: Usually requires prior experience in thermal power plants within steel or similar industries.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Typically a Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
