Job Description:
Position: Starch Plant Supervisor
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Production Supervision
- Monitor and control daily starch production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule.
- Coordinate with operators and technicians to maintain continuous plant operation.
- Process Monitoring
- Supervise the starch extraction, separation, drying, and packaging processes.
- Ensure process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates are maintained.
- Identify and resolve operational problems.
- Quality Control
- Ensure starch quality meets required specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control department for testing and compliance.
- Maintain records of production and quality checks.
- Manpower Management
- Supervise plant operators and helpers.
- Assign daily work and shifts.
- Provide training and guidance to staff.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and plant regulations.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily production reports.
- Maintain records of raw material consumption and output.
- Report production issues and improvements to management.
3. Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Food Technology.
- Experience in starch manufacturing or food processing industry preferred.
4. Experience
- Typically 3–4 years experience in starch plant or similar process industry.
