EDUCATION QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
1) Preferably Graduation/Diploma/MBA in materials Management
2) Min 10-15 years of experience in PVC/CPVC plastic product manufacturing company.

Position Title: Manager RM & Engg Stores
Department: RM & ENGG Stores/warehouse management
Job Purpose
The Stores In-Charge is responsible for the overall management of store operations, ensuring proper receipt, storage, handling, and issue of materials. The role ensures inventory accuracy, material availability, cost control, safety compliance, and smooth coordination with all departments to support uninterrupted business operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
 Maintain accurate stock records for raw materials, Capex, Engg items, consumables, spares, and tools etc
 Ensure real-time updating of stock in SAP software.
 Implement and monitor FIFO / FEFO practices to avoid expiry, damage, and obsolescence.
 Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks and lead periodic physical stock audits.
 Investigate and report stock variances, shortages, and excesses with corrective actions.
2. Material Receipt & Issue Control
 Supervise material inward – verify quantity, quality, batch numbers, and documentation.
 Ensure proper GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and system entry.
 Control issue of materials as per approved requisitions.
 Maintain traceability of materials for audit and quality purposes.
3. Storage & Housekeeping
 Ensure systematic storage with proper racks, bins, and identification labels.
 Maintain clean, safe, and organized store areas as per 5S and safety standards.
 Ensure proper segregation of hazardous, fragile, and sensitive materials.
 Prevent damage, pilferage, and deterioration of stored items.
4. Stock Planning & Replenishment
 Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels of inventory.
 Coordinate with purchase and planning departments for timely replenishment.
 Forecast material requirements based on consumption trends and production plans.

 Help in reducing excess and dead stock through analysis and planning.
5. Documentation & Reporting
 Maintain all store records – inward/outward registers, stock ledgers, issue slips, and audit files.
 Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
o Stock position
o Slow-moving and non-moving items
o Consumption trends
o Losses, damages, and shortages
 Support internal and external audits with complete documentation.
6. Team Supervision
 Lead, guide, and train store assistants and helpers.
 Allocate duties and ensure discipline, punctuality, and productivity.
 Conduct toolbox talks on safety and handling procedures.
 Evaluate staff performance and recommend improvements.
7. Safety, Compliance & Risk Control
 Ensure compliance with company policies, safety rules, and statutory requirements.
 Enforce safe material handling practices and use of PPE.
 Maintain proper records for MSDS, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
 Take preventive action against theft, misuse, and unauthorized access.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination
 Work closely with:
o Purchase – for ordering and vendor follow-ups
o Production & Maintenance – for timely issue of materials
o Accounts – for stock valuation and reconciliation
o Quality – for inspection and traceability
 Act as a key link between stores and operations.
