CNC Turning Operator
Job Description:
Key Roles & Responsibilities

Operate CNC turning machines (Lathe) to manufacture precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications.

Perform machine setup, tool setting, and offset adjustments for production runs.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and productivity.

Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Maintain proper documentation of production output and machine parameters.

Identify and report machine issues, tool wear, or quality deviations to the supervisor.

Ensure proper machine maintenance and cleanliness of the work area.

Follow safety procedures and company manufacturing standards.

Work closely with the production and quality team to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of CNC Turning / Lathe Machine operations.

Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.
-
Familiarity with cutting tools, inserts, and tooling setups.

Understanding of basic CNC programming (G-code / M-code) is an advantage.

Good knowledge of precision measuring instruments.

Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and detail.

Ability to work in shift-based manufacturing environments.
Educational Qualification

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Machinist / Turner or equivalent technical qualification.
