AWS Specialist

Job Description:

• • Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure.
  • Maintain AWS environments across development, staging, and production.
  • Manage core AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, and VPC.
  • Ensure reliability and performance of cloud-hosted applications and services.
  • Bring new workloads onto AWS as needed, handling the planning, execution, and validation of these activities

• • Implement AWS security best practices including IAM roles, encryption, key management, and network controls.
  • Partner with Security teams to ensure compliance with organizational and customer standards.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of cloud configurations to identify risks and improvement areas.
  • Facilitate audits, pen tests, and other security validation activities

• • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline integrations for seamless application deployments.

• • Monitor cloud systems using AWS CloudWatch and related tools.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide root-cause analysis.
  • Drive cost optimization through resource right-sizing and usage monitoring.
  • Ensure strong documentation and operational readiness across cloud services.

• • Work closely with Product Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to support cloud-native development.
  • Participate in cloud architecture discussions and platform modernization efforts.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cloud capability building within the IDC team.

• • 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including load balancers, DNS, routing, and subnets.
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Experience supporting DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to support production systems.

  • Mindset for continuous learning and adopting emerging cloud technologies.

• Must be available during overlapping US business hours to support global teams and customers; if required
• Flexible to collaborate with teams across India and the US.
