Production Shift Supervisor

Job Description:

•  Supervise and coordinate all activities on the needle and roller bearing production lines (including assembly, grinding, and inspection processes).
• Ensure production targets (quantity, quality, and deadlines) are met during each shift while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor key operational metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, rejection rates, and productivity.
• Manage daily work schedules, allocate resources (manpower, machines), and assign tasks to operators.
• Monitor machine setup, calibration, and tooling to ensure consistent product quality and efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
• Conduct regular inspections of machines, tools, and workplace conditions to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Lead and coach a team of operators and technicians on best practices, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective shift handovers to ensure no disruption in production continuity.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines.
• Support the implementation of 5S, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor.
• Review and manage daily production reports, performance metrics, and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with  ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, EnMS 50001:2018, ISO 10002: 2018, ISO 26000 and other applicable systems.
