Assistant Manager Production

Job Description:

Manage and Coordinate working of the department

Plan and execute daily grinding operations for components like inner rings, outer rings, and rollers of general bearings.

Set up and operate various grinding machines: Centerless, Bore, Face, OD, Track, and Raceway Grinders.

Ensure critical dimensions, roundness, roughness (Ra), taper, and geometry tolerances are within specified limits.

Optimize cycle times and dressing parameters to improve efficiency and reduce tool wear.

Analyze grinding-related issues (e.g., burn marks, chatter, size variation) and take corrective actions.

Supervise operators and ensure compliance with work instructions and safety guidelines.

Maintain records for production output, tool life, rejection/rework data, and downtime.

Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Tool Room for smooth operation and tool availability.

Support implementation of Kaizen, 5S, SPC, Poka-Yoke, and TPM practices.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, enhance quality, and lower costs.

Monitor and control consumables (grinding wheels, dressers, coolants) to reduce wastage

Implementing and maintaining: ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, EnMS 50001:2018, ISO 10002: 2018  and other applicable systems.

Awareness of legal and other compliances.

Impart on-the-job training to subordinates
