Department : Manufacturing Technology – Machine Shop
Primary Role
- To develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam software for HMC, VMC, VTM & VTL machines for large-size casting, Fabricated components, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to engineering specifications
Key Responsibilities
- Detailed study of component drawing, process documents, propose right cutting tool strategy, methods, cutting tool selection and prove out cycle time and process.
- Create, validate, and optimize CNC programs in Mastercam for HMC, VMC, VTM & VTL machines
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T requirements
- Define machining strategies, cutting parameters, tool selection, and fixture design
- Conduct toolpath simulations and dry runs to ensure error-free machining
- Collaborate with MFT, production, quality, CMM teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
- Troubleshoot machining issues & work on continues improvement to reduce cutting tool consumption, improve the product quality & reduce the cycle time reduction.
- Maintain tool libraries, machining standards, and documentation of CNC programs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes and productivity.
- Work on RFQ cost estimation and support the Business Development team in preparing competitive quotes
Qualifications, Experience
- DME / B. Tech with 5+ years of experience
- Fluency in Mastercam, & Must be good with excel, PPT & presentation skills
- Added advantages: AutoCAD 2D, Solid Works, fixture designing, machine setting.
