Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the Tourism Department through preparation of notes, concept papers, and review of submissions, while updating the department on new trends, innovations, and sector insights.
- Conduct annual review of tourism policies and sub-policies, incorporating stakeholder feedback, evaluating impact, and recommending policy corrections and amendments.
- Facilitate investors and applicants by responding to policy queries, reviewing incentive applications, and assisting in the disbursal of incentives.
- Appraise proposed tourism projects by evaluating feasibility, alignment with departmental objectives, and identifying revenue opportunities to ensure O&M self-sufficiency.
- Support PPP projects in the post-implementation phase by ensuring compliance with timelines, contractual obligations, and agreement conditions.
- Identify partnership models with third-sector organizations, including NGOs and social enterprises, to promote sustainable tourism development. Assessed project proposals and aligned them with departmental objectives and tourist-centric requirements.
- Conduct financial assessments of departmental projects, recommending O&M models and identifying potential revenue streams for self-sustaining operations.
- Undertake benchmarking studies on sectoral developments and periodically apprise the department on innovative tourism initiatives.
- Perform feasibility studies, financial analysis, and revenue model preparation for multiple tourism projects.
- Monitor implementation progress, support compliance reviews, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and risk mitigation.
- Support decision-making by preparing analytical reports, financial models, and project evaluation documents.
