Application Engineer ( Mechanical)
Job Description:
The Applications Engineer will support global sales and technical teams by developing competitive, technically sound proposals and ensuring smooth project handover. This role involves application engineering, cost estimation, tendering, technical sales support and working with PLC systems and electrical panels.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical and commercial support to the global Docking & Mooring sales teams
• Develop competitive technical proposals and solution-based offerings for customers
• Define project scope and prepare cost estimates based on project specifications
• Prepare pre-award technical documentation and support qualification discussions with customers
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover of projects to operations
• Participate in technical meetings with customers and internal stakeholders
• Support new product innovation and supply chain initiatives when required
• Collaborate with international teams across multiple time zones
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in engineering or technical sales support preferably in electrical & instrumentation industry.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
• CAD knowledge is advantageous but not essential
