Job Description:

1. Job Purpose

To manage end-to-end weaving operations ensuring production targets, quality standards, minimum downtime, and cost efficiency while maintaining safety and discipline.

Reporting to: Operations head

2. Key Roles

• Head of weaving operations
• Lead coordination between Production, QC, Planning & Maintenance
• Ensure efficient use of machines, manpower, and materials

3. Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily production and loom utilization
• Ensure fabric quality and reduce defects
• Coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime
• Manage manpower, shifts, and productivity
• Control yarn wastage and operational costs
• Ensure safety, discipline, and compliance
• Review production, quality, and efficiency reports

4. Authority

• Allocate manpower and machines
• Set production priorities and schedules
• Take action on quality and operational issues
• Recommend hiring and disciplinary actions

5. Accountability

• Achieving production targets
• Maintaining loom efficiency
• Reducing rejection and downtime
• Controlling cost per meter and wastage
• Ensuring workforce productivity and safety

7. Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Textile Engineering
• 7–12 years’ experience in weaving
• Experience handling 50+ looms preferred
