Job Description:
An HR Manager for a foundry plant manages full-cycle HR operations, focusing on high-volume blue-collar recruitment, industrial relations, statutory compliance, and safety training. Key duties include managing shop-floor manpower planning, union negotiations, grievance handling, and site facilities to ensure uninterrupted production operations, typically requiring 5–8 years of manufacturing experience. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Lead, recruit, and onboard workers, supervisors, and technical staff to meet production demands, specifically for casting, molding, and maintenance roles.
  • Industrial Relations (IR): Act as the liaison between management and labor unions, negotiating contracts and resolving disputes to maintain labor peace.
  • Compliance & Labour Law: Ensure strict adherence to factories act, safety regulations, minimum wage regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Shopfloor Management: Manage daily, shift-based attendance, workforce productivity, and shopfloor optimization.
  • Training & Safety: Implement safety programs to ensure a zero-accident workplace, focusing on handling hazards common to foundries.
  • HR Admin: Oversee canteen, transport, security, and employee welfare activities. 
     
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in HR, specifically in a foundry, steel, or heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of labor laws, union dynamics, and workforce planning.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, or equivalent.
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
