Job Summary
The Sales Manager – Bitumen is responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, and profitability of the company’s bitumen products. This role leads the sales team, manages key customer relationships, and develops strategies aligned with infrastructure, road construction, and industrial market demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for bitumen products, including paving grade, modified bitumen, and emulsions
- Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve volume and revenue targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with road contractors, government authorities, infrastructure companies, and distributors
- Oversee sales planning, forecasting, pricing, and margin management
- Identify new markets, tenders, and long-term supply opportunities
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery and product availability
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and raw material price fluctuations
- Lead contract negotiations, tender submissions, and key account agreements
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to bitumen handling and sales
- Prepare regular sales performance reports for senior management
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in sales management within the bitumen, asphalt, or petroleum products industry
- Strong understanding of road construction markets and infrastructure projects
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to manage large-volume contracts and long sales cycles
- Strong analytical and forecasting abilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of bitumen sourcing, storage, and logistics
- Experience managing regional or export sales operations
