Job Description:

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental practices across project sites. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, conducting risk assessments, and driving a proactive safety culture across all MEP project activities. You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure safe execution, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement in safety performance.

 Key Responsibilities (HSE Management & Compliance) • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards across project sites. • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification (HIRA), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for ongoing activities. • Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, client requirements, and industry standards. • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and site walkthroughs to identify unsafe conditions and practices. • Lead incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across sites. • Conduct toolbox talks, safety trainings, and awareness programs for site teams and workers. • Maintain HSE documentation, reports, permits, and compliance records. • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities for safety audits and approvals. • Support emergency preparedness, mock drills, and crisis management planning.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Safety Performance & Compliance • Reduction in incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases across project sites. • Compliance with statutory regulations and zero major safety violations. • Effective implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
  2. Audit & Inspection Efficiency • Timely completion of safety audits and inspections as per schedule. • Identification and closure of safety observations within defined timelines.
  3. Training & Awareness • Regular conduct of toolbox talks and safety training sessions. • Improved safety awareness and adherence among site workforce.
  4. Documentation & Reporting • Accurate and timely submission of HSE reports and records. • Proper maintenance of incident logs, permits, and compliance documentation.
  5. Digital & Process Adherence • Compliance with CE Comfort Engineers’ internal digital project control processes and reporting systems.
  6. Problem-Solving & Responsiveness • Quick response to on-site safety concerns and emergency situations. • Effective resolution of safety-related issues with minimal disruption to project timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering / Industrial Safety / Environmental Science.

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in HSE roles within construction / MEP / industrial projects. • Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA (preferred). • Strong understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and compliance standards. • Knowledge of HSE practices in MEP activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. • Good communication and training skills with the ability to influence site teams. • Strong observation, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
