Education Qualification: DME / B.E / B.Tech. (Mechanical/Production)

Experience: 5 - 7 years

Key Responsibilities/Job Role

             Supervise daily operations of casting processes and turning machines (CNC and conventional lathes) used for manufacturing bearing components.

             Ensure machining of castings meets dimensional tolerances, surface finish, and metallurgical standards.

             Set up, calibrate, and monitor turning machines for optimum cycle time and quality output.

             Troubleshoot machining defects such as chatter, dimensional deviations, and surface irregularities.

             Coordinate with foundry for casting quality and defect reduction.

             Implement and monitor process control measures, including SPC, to ensure consistent production quality.

             Optimize tooling, cutting parameters, and machine utilization to maximize productivity and reduce costs.

             Collaborate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and equipment.

             Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing within the machine shop.

             Maintain accurate production records, tool life data, and downtime reports.

             Train and mentor junior engineers and operators on best machining practices and safety standards.

             Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

             Implementing and maintaining: ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, EnMS 50001:2018, ISO 10002: 2018  and other applicable systems.

             Awareness of legal and other compliances.

             Impart on-the-job training to subordinates
