Senior Site Engineer – HVAC

Job Description:

The Senior Site Engineer – HVAC will be responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of HVAC works at project sites. The role involves managing installation activities, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects as per timelines and specifications. You will work closely with project managers, design teams, procurement, and site teams to ensure seamless execution of HVAC systems, including ducting, piping, equipment installation, and testing & commissioning.

 Key Responsibilities (Execution & Site Management)

• Execute and supervise HVAC installation works, including ducting, chilled water piping, VRF systems, ventilation systems, and associated equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure accurate site execution.
• Plan daily and weekly site activities, manpower allocation, and material requirements.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and other MEP teams (electrical, plumbing, fire fighting) for smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
• Ensure quality of installation as per approved drawings, standards, and client requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Identify and resolve on-site technical issues and coordination challenges.
• Maintain site documentation including daily progress reports, material tracking, and work records.
• Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines and safe working practices at site. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 1. Project Execution & Timelines
• Timely completion of HVAC works as per project schedule.
• Effective planning and utilisation of manpower and resources.
• Minimal delays due to execution or coordination issues.

2. Quality & Compliance

• Quality of installation with minimal rework.
• Compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.

3. Coordination & Integration

• Effective coordination with other MEP services ensuring minimal clashes.
• Smooth communication with design, procurement, and site teams.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Timely and accurate submission of daily/weekly progress reports.
• Proper tracking of materials, work progress, and site activities.

5. Safety & Process Adherence

• Adherence to HSE standards and zero major safety violations.
• Compliance with CE Comfort Engineers’ internal digital project control systems.

6. Problem-Solving & Responsiveness

• Quick resolution of site issues and technical challenges.
• Proactive approach in identifying risks and mitigation measures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6–7 years of experience in HVAC execution for MEP / construction / industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, VRF/VRV, ventilation, and ducting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in site execution, testing & commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in HVAC installation.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred).
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Comfortable with pan-India deployment and travel based on project requirements.
