MECHANICAL SHIFT INCHARGE PARALYZE FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - TILDA , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Incharge to oversee the mechanical operations and maintenance activities in our steel manufacturing facility. The candidate will ensure smooth operation of machinery, supervise maintenance teams, and optimize production efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily mechanical operations and maintenance during assigned shifts.
• Ensure timely troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant machinery.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to maintain uninterrupted steel production.
• Monitor machinery performance and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage and mentor the mechanical maintenance team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Prepare shift reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and production issues.
• Plan and execute equipment overhauls, installations, and upgrades.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with procurement for replacements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and operational costs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in steel/industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, conveyors, rollers, cranes, and furnaces.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with safety and quality standards in steel manufacturing.
