Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our steel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in steel production.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform welding, fitting, and fabrication tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in the steel or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a heavy industrial environment.
