MECHANICAL WELDER FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - TILDA , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Welder to join our steel manufacturing team. The Mechanical Welder will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks on steel components and assemblies, ensuring quality, precision, and safety standards are met. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques, mechanical assembly, and reading technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding operations on steel components using MIG, TIG, Arc, and other welding methods.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and welding instructions accurately.
• Assemble, repair, and maintain steel structures and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure all welds meet quality, safety, and company standards.
• Operate welding machines, cutting tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Inspect finished welds and mechanical assemblies for defects or deviations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to meet production schedules.
• Document welding operations, inspections, and maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Welder or similar role in steel fabrication/manufacturing.
• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, CWB, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, Arc welding, and cutting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of steel materials, metallurgy, and fabrication processes.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in industrial environments.
• Understanding of safety standards (PPE, fire prevention, ventilation).

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily in a steel manufacturing facility or fabrication workshop.
• Exposure to high temperatures, sparks, fumes, and heavy machinery.
• May require standing, bending, or lifting heavy objects for extended periods.
• Shift work may be required depending on production schedules.
