Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive Senior Executive – Logistics & Supply Chain with strong experience in export logistics and container movement. The role involves managing container dispatch planning, export documentation coordination, and local dispatch operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Export & Container Logistics:

• Plan and execute container stuffing and dispatch schedules as per export orders
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA (Custom House Agents), shipping lines, and transporters
• Ensure timely container booking, loading, and port movement
• Monitor export shipments and resolve delays or documentation issues
• Track vessel schedules and ensure adherence to ETD/ETA timelines
• Maintain coordination for export documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL, etc.)

Local Dispatch Management:

• Manage domestic dispatch operations including transporter coordination
• Ensure on-time delivery to customers, depots, or distributors
• Optimize routes and reduce local transportation costs
• Handle dispatch planning based on production and sales requirements

Warehouse & Inventory:

• Oversee inventory planning and stock movement
• Coordinate with warehouse for loading/unloading and dispatch readiness
• Ensure proper material handling and storage practices

Vendor & Cost Management:

• Negotiate with transporters and service providers for competitive freight rates
• Monitor and control logistics costs (export + local)
• Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service quality

Reporting & Coordination:

• Maintain records of dispatches, shipments, and logistics MIS reports
• Track KPIs such as on-time dispatch, container utilization, freight cost
• Coordinate with sales, production, and finance teams for smooth operations

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong experience in export logistics & container handling
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and customs processes
• Familiarity with freight forwarding and port operations
• Experience in local dispatch and transportation management
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems & MS Excel
• Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Commerce / Business Administration
• Certification in Export-Import / Logistics preferred
