Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant HR & Admin Manager to oversee end-to-end HR operations and administrative functions at the plant. The role involves managing workforce planning, employee relations, statutory compliance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations to support plant productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Management
- Manage complete employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and exit formalities
- Plan and execute manpower requirements for plant operations
- Handle employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies
- Address employee grievances and maintain a positive industrial relations environment
- Drive performance appraisal systems and HR policies implementation
Industrial Relations (IR)
- Maintain healthy relations with workers, unions, and shop-floor employees
- Handle disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with labour laws such as Factory Act, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.
- Manage wage settlements and union negotiations (if applicable)
Compliance & Statutory
- Ensure adherence to all statutory and legal compliances related to labour laws
- Maintain records, registers, and documentation as per government norms
- Coordinate audits (internal & external) and inspections
Administration
- Oversee plant administration including security, housekeeping, canteen, transport, and facility management
- Manage vendor contracts and admin-related procurement
- Ensure proper maintenance of plant infrastructure and utilities
- Monitor cost control for admin functions
Payroll & HR Operations
- Supervise payroll processing, attendance, leave management, and shift scheduling
- Ensure accuracy in employee data and HR MIS reporting
- Maintain HR dashboards and provide insights to management
Key Requirements
Education
- MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent
- Additional qualification in Labour Laws is an advantage
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in HR & Admin, preferably in manufacturing/plant environment
- Strong exposure to Industrial Relations and statutory compliance
