Position base :-  Bikaner (Pugal) ,Rajasthan 

Working Mode at Project Site Locations :- 6 days WFO (Weekly Off on Sunday )   

Note :- Flexible and open to be posted on other site location in Rajasthan (Barmer /Bikaner) at the time of joining as per project & business requirement even if position is raised for Pugal site project .

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Quality Assistant Manager to be deputed at site for our utility-scale Solar PV projects. The role demands a highly skilled professional with strong technical expertise, proven field quality management experience, and the ability to enforce international standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The Electrical Field Quality Assistant Manager will be the custodian of all electrical quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities at site, ensuring defect-free execution, long-term asset reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Manage and implement site-specific Electrical QA/QC plans in compliance with project specifications, IEC, IS, and IEEE standards.
  • Supervise inspection, testing, and commissioning of all electrical installations including PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, and transmission systems.
  • Ensure robust documentation and traceability for all quality records, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Drive non-conformance reporting (NCR) and closure, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Site Execution & Compliance:

  • Monitor contractor/subcontractor execution of electrical works, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, BOQ, and quality standards.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and witness tests for pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with grid codes, statutory requirements, and client specifications.

Managership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Mentor and guide site engineers, quality inspectors, and contractors on best practices and standards.
  • Act as the primary interface with client/consultant for all electrical quality matters.
  • Provide timely reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting site quality status, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Foster a culture of zero-defect execution and quality-first mindset across site teams.

 

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in electrical systems for utility-scale solar PV plants – modules, string/central inverters, transformers, switchyards, and transmission lines.
  • Proven ability to implement and enforce QA/QC processes as per ISO 9001, IEC, IS, IEEE, and relevant standards.
  • Hands-on experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Solid knowledge of O&M requirements, reliability, and lifecycle performance of solar assets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, managership, and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, QA/QC documentation tools, and project mana

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in Electrical QA/QC, with significant exposure to utility-scale solar PV/EPC projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing electrical quality at site for projects ranging from tens to hundreds of MW capacity.
  • Familiarity with managing EPC contractors, IPPs, and international quality benchmarks.
