Job Description:

Your Key Responsibilities

 

● Inventory Management ○ Maintain accurate records of raw materials, finished goods, packaging items, and consumables in the store. ○ Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate inventory is available to support uninterrupted production operations. ● Material Inward Management ○ Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents. ○ Ensure proper checking, counting, and documentation of received materials before storing them in the warehouse. ● Material Issuance Control ○ Issue raw materials and consumables to the production department based on approved requisitions. ○ Ensure proper documentation and recording of all material outward movements. ● Stock Monitoring and Reconciliation ○ Track daily inventory movements and update stock registers or ERP systems accordingly. ○ Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records. ● Warehouse Organization ○ Ensure proper storage labelling, and segregation of different material types to avoid confusion or damage. ○ Maintain an orderly warehouse layout for efficient material handling and accessibility. ● Documentation and Reporting ○ Maintain store-related documents, including GRNs, stock registers, material issue slips, and inventory reports. ○ Prepare periodic inventory reports and share stock updates with management and relevant departments. ● Coordination with Purchase and Production ○ Coordinate with the purchase team for timely replenishment of materials. ○ Work closely with production to ensure smooth material flow as per production schedules. ● Loss Prevention and Control ○ Identify stock discrepancies, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions. ○ Ensure proper handling and control practices to prevent material damage, loss, or pilferage. ● Safety and Housekeeping ○ Ensure safe material handling practices within the store area. ○ Maintain cleanliness and organized storage conditions in the warehouse or store facility. What Makes You a Fit Educational Qualification ● Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. ● A diploma in Materials Management, Store Management, or Warehouse Operations will be an advantage. ● Graduates with practical exposure to inventory management, store documentation, and warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment may also be considered. Skills ● Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, and warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment. ● Ability to maintain accurate stock records for raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and production consumables. ● Knowledge of inward and outward material processes, including goods receipt verification, material issuance, and stock documentation. ● Proficiency in maintaining GRNs, stock registers, inventory reports, and other store-related documentation with accuracy. ● Basic working knowledge of ERP systems, inventory software, and MS Excel for stock tracking and reporting. ● Ability to conduct physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies systematically. ● Strong coordination skills to work with purchase, production, and dispatch teams for smooth material flow. ● Good organizational skills for proper material storage, labeling, and warehouse layout management. ● Attention to detail and a disciplined approach toward stock accuracy, material handling, and loss prevention.

 

Experience ● 2–4 years of experience in inventory management, store operations, or warehouse management in a manufacturing or industrial environment. ● Practical exposure to handling raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and production consumables within a structured store system. ● Experience in managing inward and outward material movements, verifying goods received, and maintaining GRNs, stock registers, and inventory records. ● Familiarity with stock reconciliation, physical stock verification, and coordinating with purchase, production, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth material flow.
