Job Description:

• Implement and maintain quality systems as per IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 /ISO 45000 standards.
• Ensure adherence to customer-specific requirements and statutory norms.
• Oversee quality in Press Shop (Gang tools), Notching operations, and Welding of stator stacks and rotor assemblies (TIG & MIG).
• Monitor and control quality of Stator and Rotor assemblies and die-cast rotors.
• Validate and update Control Plans, PFMEA, and Inspection Standards.
• Act as the primary contact for customer complaints and internal quality issues.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure timely closure of complaints and maintain documentation for audits.
• Drive initiatives for defect reduction, process capability improvement, and cost of quality optimization.
• Utilize tools like 8D, RCA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP effectively.
• Lead and mentor the quality team for skill development and performance improvement.
• Promote a culture of quality awareness across the plant.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical laminations manufacturing, press shop operations, notching processes, and welding (TIG & MIG) for stator and rotor assemblies.
• Expertise in stator and rotor assembly quality control and die-casting quality parameters.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO standards, and customer-specific requirements.
• Proficiency in problem-solving tools and quality core tools.
• Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
• Experience: 15+ years in Quality function within electrical laminations or rotating machine component manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Preferred Background

• Experience in press shop with gang tools, notching operations, rotor die-casting, and welding (TIG & MIG).
• Exposure to customer audits and OEM quality requirements.
