Job Description:

1. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations (e.g., Pollution Control Board, OSHA, Factory Act).
  • Maintain all required licenses, permits, and documentation.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and support audits/inspections.

2. Workplace Safety

  • Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE across manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory areas.

3. Environmental Management

  • Monitor air, water, and hazardous waste management systems.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and pharmaceutical waste.
  • Manage ETP/STP operations and compliance reporting.

4. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct EHS induction and periodic safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Promote safety culture and awareness campaigns.

5. Incident Management

  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare reports and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain EHS records, SOPs, MSDS, and safety manuals.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly EHS reports and KPI dashboards.

7. Emergency Preparedness

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans (fire, chemical spills, etc.).
  • Coordinate mock drills and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.

8. Sustainability Initiatives

  • Drive energy conservation, waste reduction, and green initiatives.
  • Support ESG and sustainability goals of the organization.

  • Risk assessment and hazard analysis
  • Incident investigation & CAPA
  • Good communication and training skills
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
